Indeed Lord Chancellor. I am looking forward to retaking Budapest next season or the one after.
OOC: It's not any Austrian troops but the Hungarian units in the area. There are a few.

OOC: I think I might've also trained sergeant spearmen instead of armoured sergeants in a few places, and typed it wrong in the Rec report.I lined up the training in the middle of making dinner for my kidlet trying to get it done quickly, and clearly that was a mistake. I apologize to anyone who got the weaker units.

OOC: Actually I trained the right units, just called them the wrong thing. I think I've been doing that for awhile.![]()

I would recommend you having a separate mod folder if you play KOTR that only has the fix files in it rather than a mixture of fix and BC, as anyone without the same configuration as you may well run into incompatibility issues.
[edit]
Uploaded an incomplete KOTR mod folder onto the uploader:
http://www.totalwar.org/patrons/pbm/...x13MFVlite.zip
Two things to note before using it:
1. It does not have the imperial_campaign folder because that would inflate the size of the archive by 8.5 MB. Just copy/paste your own (vanilla) imperial_campaign folder into the campaign folder.
2. The KOTR.cfg is a copy of my own medieval2.preference.cfg. It might not work with your rig. I recommend you making a copy of your own preference file and renaming it KOTR.cfg (first deleting the existing KOTR.cfg). After doing so, add the following to the top:
You can then run M2TW with KOTRfix only using the KOTR.bat file (make sure its in your medieval2 directory. To run it via desktop, create a shortcut to the bat file and place it on your desktop, no further modification needed)Code:[features] mod=KOTR
Before I forget: The KOTR folder goes into your medieval2 directory, not in your data folder. When you download save games for KOTR, they go into the KOTR\saves folder.

Want gunpowder, mongols, and timurids to appear when YOU do?
Playing on a different timescale and never get to see the new world or just wanting to change your timescale?

Annoyed at laggy battles? Check this thread out for your performance needs
Got low fps during siege battles in particular? This tutorial is for you
Want to play M2TW as a Vanilla experience minus many annoying bugs? Get VanillaMod Visit the forum Readme
Need improved and faster 2H animations? Download this! (included in VanillaMod 0.93)
Broken Crescent does have it's own folder, unless you mean I should have two MTW2 installs. Can you be more specific? I'll set it up however recommended.

Same here so I have some interest in the matter

If BC has its own folder, but if you load a KOTR save and see BC style units, then the particular data folder that is being loaded for KOTR saves contains BC files.Originally Posted by Ramses II CP
Two questions:
1. When you load a KOTR save, what do you use to run M2TW? A the suggested shortcut as per KOTRfix readme or via a modfolder?
2. If the former, you have files in your data folder other than the ones from KOTRfix, those need to go. If the latter, you may have a mixture of several different mod files. Best would be if you post a screenshot of the data folder that is loaded when you run M2TW to play KOTR.

I use the shortcut per the kotrfix readme. I can post a screenshot of the data folder later today. I cleaned all that stuff out and reinstalled kotrfix when we had that previous problem with unit training, but since then I installed one of the BC 'fixes' to make siege equipment more readily available to maintain compatibility with the BC hotseat guys.
I don't know for sure that this little guy is specific to BC, so I'll post a screenshot of him too. It is not the western peasant graphic that AG described though, and I've seen it in BC as a placeholder.
