How many times does new Mongol armies spawn?

I am playing as russia and because i wanted to fight the mongols.

So i cheated a little so i could field massive armies.

I have seen them spawned three times

I have also figured out that throwing my armies against the mongols headon attacking is a recipt for disaster and is only useful for when you place 3-4 full stacks around one loonly mongolarmy and destroy that on autocalc.

The best way to win battles is to stay defensive and use the terrain, have destroyed 4 mongol armies with the use of militiaarmies only.

Place them on rivercrossing, have 5 units of spearmen and the rest archers.

Then have the mongols cross and hope the spearmen hold long enough to route the mongolarmy.

I am playing on easy/easy since i want victories:D

But now i want to finish of the Mongols and use my mighty armies to storm the rest of the world.

I think the Mongols only spawn 3 times total, so you are probably done fighting them.

I've had some good success fighting full stack vs. full stack open field battles against the mongols in my Turkish campaign. What did the trick for me is to use about 4-5 artillery pieces in the stack, and hold off on a full engagement until the arty has softenned up their calvary -- I target their general, heavy lancers, and heavy missle cav in that order, as those seem to be the toughest units to beat, while keeping all my troops in loose formation to minimize inevitable losses due to missle cav attacks. Once the arty have pounded on them sufficiently, I can usually rout the army with a well executed advance with Janny Heavies, spearmen, and ottomans infantry.

I've sorta forgotten now, but I think it was 4 waves instead of three. You can check in the campaign file, the name of which I've forgotten as well. It's hard to be helpful when posting from work; I don't have the game here.

Question...What do you do about mongol reinforcements in a battle? A full stack of one army will eventually be whipped out by the four stacks of mongols... I must admit, I've never successfully defeated the mongols in an open battle. Usually when they arrive I'm forced to have my military retreat to Cyprus, which is quite annoying.

Often when the Mongols attack bridges they come on one stack at a time. First stack gets wiped out, second one crushes my army and then withdraw from the bridgehead so i can move another army to defend that place and repeat.

When you face 4 stacks in open battle, pray and hope that you can kill as many enemies as possible before his cav eats your archers for lunch

Easy one: 40.001. One mongol to screw in the lightbulb and 40.000 to invade Europe and kick everyones ass.

But how many boards could the mongols hoard if the mongol hordes got bored?

None. The mongol hordes never get bored and even if they do, they wouldn't know what's a board.
