Is a new version necessary for the hotfix, or will the current one work?

I want you to try this procedure and tell me how it goes.

1. Reinstall Rome Total War.
2. Reinstall Rome Total War - Barbarian Invasions.
3. Download and install the BI v1.6 patch found here. This is just a precautionary measure.

Well, since I have Total War: Eras the BI and RTW are installed simultaneously. I hope this doesn't change things....

Do you need BI for the formations to work? Is there a version for RTW only?

2HP added to all units?! Thats a pretty big change. What effect does that have on gameplay?

not only 2hp but more change in stats,in mount effect,kill rate,heat,stat ground ,morale and small change in other stats for some units. Effect-hm you see in version 0.3 in this week :) This is big change in fighting .
