Question Unable to Start a Campaign

    Hi to all, and Ave.

I've found myself unable to start a campaign: immediately after picking a faction and pressing the button to begin, the *ching* sound effect plays and I'm sent straight back to the previous menu. I can tell you that I've patched correctly from RTW v.1.0 to 1.5. I've also tried running the game with BI.exe 1.6. After several installs the problem persists.

Disappointing, after all I'd read about EB and the work that's been put in to it.

I've posted on two other forums so far with the same problem, but no solutions so far. Has anyone else come across the same thing?

Hm, sounds like a prob with the map.rwm file, thats weird because i didnt know such a problem occurs when using the -mod structure. Anyway, delete the file (or better rename it to oldmap.rwm, its in the \RTW\EB\Data\world\maps\base folder) and then try to start a new campaign.

Just curious: Did you start the BI.exe campaign via Provincial Campaign -> Imperial Campaign ?

Yeah, Provincial Campaign > Imperial Campaign ...

I did as you suggested, but no such luck. Thanks for your speedy response.
