Default Which mod is the best

    Hi All

I am running Medieval 2 with the 1.1 official patch.
I am aware that there are a number of bugs in the game still and I would like to know which Mod is the most coprehensive or complete and is worth installing.
I know that no single mod will fix all the bugs but if I was to get one mod which should it be?

    Shaba Wangys Diplomacy mod

    It is a must have.

Thats the problem with the mods. Too many of them. Not trying to knock the modders because without them we wouldnt have the needed improvements and they deserve big Kudos for doing it but it'd be nice if there was one mod that encompassed them all or at least the better/popular mods. Hopefully the M2TR team will encompass all this in their current project.

Somebody should make a mod which incoporates the best mods into one.

Vice & Virtues & Ancillaries Fixes
    Diplomacy Fixes
    Weapon Animation Fixes
    Shield Fixes
    Pope Abuse Fixes
    When in doubt, blame Dairuka.

Dont think there is a pope fix. Or a shield fix, if there is, point me please.

Lands to Conquer includes a Pope fix, but preventing the player from offering territory or florins to the Pope's faction.

I'm still waiting for a shield fix.
    When in doubt, blame Dairuka.

You could try repman's "Deus lo Vult". It's the closest thing to a comprehensive compilation that I'm aware of. Just look at the battle fixes section :

    - included unit balancing (edu file) similar as in LTQ 1.21: thanks to Lusted
(added dismounted+crusader units, 2 handed bug fix, increased costs cavalry/artillery, more powerful eastern cavalry+longbow+ billman,..)
    - included sinuhets 1.0 Battle dynamics: user + player formations, movement speeds
    - darth vader unit twists: mass, reduced fatality, reduced battle idle status
    - more smoke: thanks to Dearmad
    - included Battle mechanic 0.8: thanks to DariusEG
    - shield_ wall added to certain infantry units: thanks to Yogi Bear
    - ballista tower cannon bug fix: thanks to dearmad
    Download here :

Disclaimer : I have not played it myself (not much time to play lately ), it's just what I read about it at twcenter. Please read carefully the full modification list before instaling, it goes beyond fixing bugs.
