I cant belive it; I yust took out the entire mongol invasion with assassins, i just killed all their family members, before they could capture a city... :9

but here is what surprised me: their army did not become rebbels they just disapeared :)

And another surprise: when i killed their last king I got the message Faction destroyed! but some turns after the invasion repeated.. wtf?

I assassinated them all agin so now i have twice destroyed the mongolians... wtf????

I am just wondering if that has anythink to do with the fact that they havnet yet captured a city or why are they returning ??

They come in 3 waves 2 stacks then 4 stacks then 4 stacks again once youve delt with all 3 waves thats it there gone.

How many Assassins did you use? I can never kill the Mongols generals.

I don't claim to be the end-all of TW knowledge but I am pretty sure I had a 5 army initial attack wave in my current Russia game. Perhaps it varies or did I miss something? I leave FOW on and never toggle so maybe they were 2 waves but I think they were 1st arrivers

It was 3 waves in my last campaign, I think I've read on here that's typical. IIRC, it was 5 stacks the first time, and 3 on the subsequent 2 invasions. After the 2nd invasion I destroyed all of them and got the "faction destroyed" message -- the 3rd wave happened sometime later.
