Hey all, new user, long-time lurker, yada yada. Been browsing here since the first Medieval and been checking it out a lot since the second one's come out. Anyway, I've read a lot about the two-handed bug and while I can deal with most of the other quirks, even the whole shield fuss, having some of the coolest units rendered completely broken is just too much. I've poked around and seen the other fixes, and it seems like the imported demo animations would work the best for me. Problem is, I'm no good at fiddling with code, and I haven't found any clear directions on precisely what to do. Could somebody be so kind as to lay it out in the simplest language possible, so I can get back to grinding Europe under the jackboot of the Reich? It'd be greatly appreciated :D
Welcome aboard! For the fix... just check out the thread I started on 2h fix discussion. Should be in the first page or 2 still. Someone recently posted the exact same question, and a reply linked to zxiang's 2h fix. FYI, Zxiang's is the one that replaces animations with those from the demo. IIRC you just DL his rebuilt animation pack and replace the old one with it.
Easy, peasy, lemon-squeezy
2 handed sword units are not affected by the bug, only units which use the 2 handed axe animation.

I know, but it's no fun when you fight countries like the Danes or the Portugese and their best units can't fight back.
Thanks for the links too, the mod works like a charm :D
