Fortunately, gold does not need any official patches. Sadly it does, however, still have some very small bugs. To fix these bugs, may I suggest that you download the unofficial patch by player1. It fixes most of the graphical bugs and some others ones too. Enjoy your play. Cheers.

in some cases, sega goofed and did not in fact release updated versions of them all.

Is there a way to find out which version my game is? The readme and game manuals don't say.

If you want to find out what version your R:TW is go into Options menu on the main menu when you first enter the game. In the top right hand corner there is a number. That number, which should be 1.x (where x is the version number), tells you what version you have. If it is 1.3 then you will probably want the 1.5 patch for R:TW and the 1.6 patch for BI. Cheers.
