To be really honest... I've bought my first comp back in '97. It was a P-133Mhz which I had owned until about two yeara ago, when I got myself for this used P3-1000Mhz (and Medieval TW, he he).

In my heart... I'm still living in the closing years of the 20th century as far as comp technology is concerned and I think it was a much better time compared to what things are like today, somehow more *humane* in a way which is hard for me to put into words.

I still remember Warhammer: Dark Omen and the old Shogun, which my old comp was waay too slow to run at the time, and I wanted to play that obviously wonderful game so darn much... :)

Eh - didn't want this thread to turn into this waterfall of nostalgia... but this is why I don't like X-vid, portable mp3 players, these new mass produced graph cards and stuff like that - although it *is* completely irrational and I'm perfectly aware that I'm still gonna end up using X-vid anyway because I have a 10Gb hard disk and no CD or DVD burner.

There you have it, hope this made some sense.
