Years ago I remember playing those excellent Wing Commander games. Now, courtesy of the Freespace 2 engine, a number of enterprising modders have released the prologue missions of Wing Commander Saga, containing a series of missions using various craft, a cohesive plot, and an all-round enjoyable game. I really enjoyed it, and I urge fans of the series to give it a go.

Also highly recommended for those who've never tried the series. For those who have, WCSaga is a great new addition.

Wing Commander, now those are memories...
Wing Commander 1 was great because of the mission tree, the missions depending how you did in the previous mission, Wing Commander 2 had the great story, part 3 introduced movies and part 4 brought back the influence on the storyline.
That project looks highly interesting.
