Adding Family Members

I'm trying to create a new family char, but i can't get the name to show up. Can someone explain to me how to get the name to show up?

I tried to add a fifth child to the Scottish Family tree but It didnt show up. But When I added a Fourth child to the sicilian family tree it worked. Perhaps it is four starting children maximum?

You are correct that this is the game's default
maximum number of children, however, it is
moddable. Edit the file descr_campaign_db.xml
and at about line 75 you should see the key/value
pair

<max_number_of_children uint="4"/>

You can change this to a larger value to have more
children.

I can't seem to get it that to work. I still end up showing only 4 children on the family tree per member.

The game just displays 4 even if there are more. That's why I left the limit at 4.
