Equites Sociorum?

A unit by this name is mentioned in an old post promising new units, and there is a sound file for them. Yet they are not available in-game. Will they be in the future? If my assumption that they are standard allied italian cavalry for the romans and the already implemented Equites Extraordinarii are an elite version, will there be "Pedites Sociorum" as a regular counterpart to the elite Pedites Extraordinarii?

Equites sociorum are still planned, it will be a light early Italic javelin cavalry unit to supplement the equites romani and equites extraodinarii. Hopefully we will see them in the next release (0.9). Other than Italic regionals there is no other allied infantry unit planned.
