In each of the three campaigns I've played (Spain, Byz, Scot), the Pope has, at some point, called a Crusade on Toulouse, after the owning faction (me, France, me) became excommunicated. In my present game, it's 70-something turns in, and it's the only Crusade he's called!

Does anyone know why, of all the provinces he could want 'liberated', he always seems keen to target Toulouse? Is it just something funky about the Popes in my game?

I've only seen Crusades called on Toulouse and Jerusalem... does his Holiness have a remarkably limited world-view (come to think of it, I've only seen Jihads called on Constantinople - is there a specific set of regions the AI can Crusade\Jihad to?)?
