    Default Great Generals Topic

So, i thought I'd start a topic about legendary generals.

My English campaign, 0.5. Francis the Crusader- son of Robert son of William the Conqueror, left England at 16 and took the German city of Hamburg. He then took Frankfurt, before moving up to take Arhus and Uppsala from the Danes. Nuremburg, Innsbruck and Vienna were then taken from the HRE before going on a crusade to the rebel city of Malta and earning his nickname. In between all this he fought numerous battles, and was not defeated in a single one. His most famous battle was in the winter of 1129, The Battle of Uppsala, in which Francis fought off a Danish army, killing 3057 and losing just 770 of his own men. He is currently aged 62 and on a ship back to London to live out the rest of his days in England, where he has not been for 46 years.

    Nice thread.
Sorry, but I'm not at home right now so I can't post sreensots and specific V&Vs/ancilliaries, but here I go anyway:

In my English campaign, I had the priviledge of being served by one of the greatest warriors in Chirstendom - Edward the Crusader, Prince of Wales, heir apparent to the Throne of of the Kingdom of England, Conqueror of Jerusalem, Liberator of Antioch, Finder of the Holy Prepuce (*lol*), and Nemesis of all infidels.

    Command: **********
    Chivalry: @@@@@@@@
    Loyalty: 000000000 (later 9 Authority)
    Piety: +++++++

Ancilliaries: (the ones I'm sure he has)

    Tutor
    Mentor
    Roger de Moulins
    Knight Templar
    Knight Hospitaller
    Mercenary Captain
    The Holy Prepuce

V&Vs: (the ones I'm sure he has)
    Born Commander
    Born Conqueror
    Great Crusader
    Promising Attacker
    Promising Defender
    Pope's Favorite
    Nightfighter
    Hates Muslims
Dubious (oh well he can't be all perfect...)

Note that he reached this level at the age of ~37. He came of age with 4 command, 5 or 6 loyalty and 1 or 2 chivalry.

At the age of 16, young Edward went on his first crusade. The objective: taking Antioch from the blasphemous Egyptians. After reaching his goal and reaping his first glory, he immediately consolidated his position in the Holy Land, taking both Aleppo and Acre in quick succession, and avoiding bloodshed wherever possible to gain the support of the populace. Shortly afterwards, Edward was proclaimed heir apparent to the Throne of England, after his father took the crown. Enheartened by his victories and eager for more, Edward did not hesitate a second when his Holiness the Pope called for another crusade, this time to the heart of Christendom - Jerusalem itself. Against the might of Edward the Chivalrous (as he was called at that time) and his devoted followers the defenders stood no chance, and the Holy City was claimed in the name of Christ. Again, Edward chose not to harm the city's civilians, further enhancing his saintly reputation. As if to reward his chivalry, the Holy Spirit showed him the way to the hiding place of a relic of Christ himself - the Holy Prepuce. Unusual a relic as it may be, still the finding strenghtened Edward, both in spirit and in manliness.
And thus, Edward the Great, beloved by God and revered by the people, ascended the Throne of England - a young king (40), a strong king, a living legend. - The End

I might have overshot a bit, but hey, this is the "Great Generals Topic"
