Yeah, you're absolutely right. We are taking a hard look at the steppe unit costs right now. Great minds think alike!![]()
Yea steppe nobles cost more then steppe light horse archers, doh! What I did in the mean time was reduce the upkeep of all HA to the mid 300's at least.
I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.
Is he hurt? Everybody asks that. Nobody ever says, 'What a mess! I hope the doctor is not emotionally harmed by having to deal with it.'
aren't nobles supposed to cost more than light HA's? Or are you talking about the lack of cheap light HA's?![]()
A close look at the stats will clarify what I meant. E.g Saka Riders which is far to expensive in comparison with other H.A units.
Recruitment: 3231
Upkeep: 808
Arrow: 5
Melee: 3
Primary armour: 1 8 1
Charge bonus 32
The only thing thats quite good is the charge bonus of 32, but thats not enough to motivate the expenses for this unit. A comparison of the above stats with the Skuda Baexdzhyntae is only one example that leads me to the conclusion that H.A units needs some "tuning" (there are other examples which I noticed during my Sauromatae campaign):
Recruitment: 1669
Upkeep: 417
Arrow: 7
Melee: 4
Primary armour: 2 8 2
Charge bonus: 27
Ok there are other stats too, e.g. secondary armour etc. But I can't see that those "numbers" can explain the difference. The "riders" are definitely not twice as good as the "skuda´s", as the "damage" to your poor Saka economy would suggest.
Yeah, we had some problems with HA stats, were working on them right now.
