EB compatibilty with BI

So I've been reading numerous gameplay guides lately and they are constantly talking about how the AI is much better and effective when playing using BI as opposed to vanilla 1.5 RTW. Now, I've tried moving the EB file into the BI folder within the directory, and I can't seem to get it to work.

My question is simple: how does this work? I'd like to experience the superior naval AI, but I don't know which file goes where.

I'm having the same problem. I have RTW Gold. I uninstalled RTW Gold plus EB. I reinstalled RTW Gold. I downloaded patch 1.5 for RTW. Plus patch 1.6 for BI. I installed EB again. I still get Windows is searching for RomeTW.exe. What a pain.

I know that EB itself works, because I can play it by clicking the icon. Not sure about BI, though. It's tricky.

Basically just change the program shortcut to "~\RomeTW-BI.exe" rather than the default "~\RomeTW.exe"

Easy, works fine.

Its extremely easy.

Right click on the shortcut, and change the path from:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe"
to

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe"

Easy-peacy japaneasy.
