Actually, I am unable to access the backroom. Do you have to be a Senior Member to do that? Is there a group membership?

The latter: you can request it in your user CP => group memberships. You'll have to be approved by the moderators, but usually that is just a formality. Membership of the Backroom carries with it no obligations, and can be can be cancelled at any time.

It is possible you've been accidentally overlooked, yes -- it does happen from time to time. As Caius said, though, just PM TosaInu; he'll be able to help you out.
