I need help

[Hellenic_Hoplite]

I recently re-installed an un-patched versian RTW and modded it so I can play as all factions (except for the senate and scythia) including the rebels and it was diong fine but I eventually decided to up grade it with patches 1.2, 1.3 and 1.5 in that order and since then when ever I try to play the imperial campaign it crashes back to the screen that says "Prologue" "Imperial Campaign" etc...

well anyway I can't play my game now can anyone please help me?

if I understand correctly, you modded the desc_strat file and then, you upgraded your 1.0 version to 1.5

Does custom battle works ?

yes youre correct, and for some reason the custom battles work fine, and as for the sanate I have never tried them (since there are already 3 roman factions in the game) but I have played as the rebels before on the campaign map

Put -show_err to the end of the shortcut

well I deited it so I cant play as slave but it still crashes, so I also edited it so I to the way it was originally and it still crashes also, I don't know what the problem is, I wonder if I shold un-install the game and than put the patches on again but change the factions around only after I have put the 1.5 patch on.

I had this same problem a few months ago. Totally uninstall the whole thing.

Then re-install it and make your mods as you desire, but as so many have said, do not try to play as SPQR or the Rebels.

One thing too about making the mods, do not erase in the unplayable and "type" them to playable. Remove them by "cutting" and make them playable by "pasting" into playable. Typing them will not get you anywhere. It's like the computer doesn't understand.

Now this also created a problem for my BI. I fixed it by finding a "repair" icon in my BI files.
