Rebel spawning

i play eb on BI.exe on hard campaign and yet still i get rebels spawning here and there, is setting it to 99 more effective?

I typed in 9999, no rebel spawning in sight
it is very cheap to do such a thing, but its ludicrous how full stacked rebels appear in provinces with 200+ loyalty. Until thats fixed, I'll play without that

that was for RTW 1.5 though, I dont know if BI is different

what you are probably seeing is peasant revolts. In the same file there are lines for the peasant revolts I am guessing they work the same as for the brigands. I turned brigands off but I left peasant revolts on for realism.

One thing you can do is to go into the text file for brigands and just set it so that brigand armies have no units in them (or very small numbers).

I tell people this all the time...

It isn't ridiculous to turn off rebels at all... You're not giving yourself an advantage, because they are turned off for the AI also! Ok sure, it is ridiculous in the way that rebels were common... But in history, any rebels that ever meant business only rebelled when they saw opportunity to actually do some damage... They never got 80 men together with pitchforks and stood outside ROME! Or on a road somewhere, or in the middle of some far off province never ever moving or doing ANYTHING...

So it's also ridiculous to leave rebel spawning on.

BTW i've been a junior member for months now, i'd appreciate it if an admin could change that, you know with me being an adult and not a junior, it's only on junior member because of some admin over in the MTW2 forums on a power trip who enjoyed giving me warnings for daft reasons.

4 out of 5 weren't fair, but regardless, it was around 5 or 6 months ago... I'm an adult, not a junior.

Wheres the file you edit to get rid of them?

As with the super expensiveness of everything in this mod the rebels hurt my faction incredibly.

I think it's data/world/campaign/descr_strat, but i haven't really played for sevel (8 or 9) months so i may be a little off...

Like I said: if you think you have a valid case to change your membership level, contact TosaInu. Asking for it here is not going to achieve anything.
