loading issues

Hi all!

I dl'ed the .08 patch and installed it. All RTW patches are updated and RTW is running fine. When the game loads, it stalls at the first screen. If I Control/Alt/Delete it'll move to the next settings/selection screen. I have to control/alt/delete to move from that screen. No error messages show but rather it just stalls. Any clue to what the issue is here?

How long did you wait? EB has decently long load times and on a slow system it might feel like it takes forever.

a few minutes. what puzzles me is the ability to transition from opening screen (with just the map and EB title) to the next (faction selction) and then to the next (regular map/landscape) only but control/alt/delete. again, RTW runs smoothly but this is a little weird.

A few minutes? Grap a book and wait longer, takes my computer forever to load too.
