    Default Next patch scope increasing?

So, since 0.81 is taking a long time to come out, I'm wondering if it is going to be more than basic patch to fix CTD's. Will it include a lot of new stuff? Can you let us in on some of it?

If not, is still planned on being released "soon"? And is soon, weeks, or months?

    Thanks.

One nice thing it will include is "all" peasant cards will be gone.

The only thing that is really stopping us for the moment is getting the last of the bugs out. However, it certainly is far bigger than 0.81 (I would suggest calling it 0.85 to be honest). But we are not adding new content anymore, most work is now focused on a ctd that managed to find its way in.

It won't really feel like lots of new stuff though - one of the only things you will really notice are new loading screens (the old ones, but with the papyrus font gone and a more legible one in place; and also with the lower sections more cleared so quotes are easier to read). There is a lot of work that went into 0.81 patch but it's mostly fixing problems, not adding new content (though some crept in).

Why is all in quotations? Does that mean you might have missed one?

Nah, it means all are gone. Right?

And let me get this straight. .81 will fiix and destroy "all" CTD?

If so, then whats keeping Eb from 1.0?

Units, maybe a few buildings, and god knows what other tweaks and new stuff. Just a guess, but I think that rascally EB team still has quite a bit up their sleaves...

We may never have a build that is absolutely positively ctd-proof. The reinforcement army ctd has been greatly diminished, but appears to still be present in some rare situations. BozosLiveHere has mentioned that the amount of effort and possibility of finding the reason for the ctd (which probably lies in unknown limits that the game itself has that we are unaware of - in which case it is exceedingly difficult to figure out what can fix it) may be so difficult that we are not able to ever totally eliminate it.

We are currently trying to fix a problem with a random crash before a battle - it seems to be sprite related (crashes before battles that then aren't there when you reload have been tied to that in the past), but the sprites appear to be there and working.

I used quote because there are some placeholder units and placeholder cards still included.

There are less than 10 units missing one or both UI Cards. Hopefully we can reduce that further before the release. As for patches, we've had over 90 "submitted fixes", which range from a complete reworking of DMB-EDU (to eliminate model sharing conflicts) down to humble one line spelling corrections.

Although it took a lot longer than originally planned, the Patch is first and foremost a fix to existing content.
