    Default Nervous Anticipation

Well, for a little over half a year now I've been visiting the org as a member, not just a lurker, and in that time I've managed to glue myself to the Throne Room as a daily resident.

But, I think it's time to start moving into some virgin soil, so I've nervously, yet excitedly, started poking my nose around other sections of the forum. And I've chosen the Front Room as my first exploratory trek into the wilds of the .org forums outside of my cozy little Throne Room.

So I guess all I'm trying to do is say hi!

    Welcome !

If you're a bit nervous about entering a new place you might want to stay out of the backroom.

Welcome to a Brave New Forum Lucjan. Fear not, we don't bite - well, most of us don't. And those of us that do have had their shots.

Welcome to the Tavern, Lucjan We like stories here, too (tho' shorter ones than you're accustomed to in the Throne Room).

    Welcome.

The thing about the frontroom is you can talk about beer, women, music and cars*. Which, essentially, covers the most important aspects of existence . The backroom is fun but its not nearly so important.

    * You can also talk about the pre-socratic philosophers or whether Bobby Fischer was the greatest chess player ever, but you may be on your own

    * The use of high amounts of alcohol tend to bring discussions about philosophy to unknown levels, allthough the levels usually start to become unknown the day after the discussion

Just don't attempt a coup against Beirut and BKS and you'll be fine.

    Welcome btw.

A coup attempt would be interesting, I haven't had to break out the electrodes for quite some time. The rent on those underground cells is going to waste, too.

At this rate it might not even be worthwhile maintaining our own dissident-supression apparatus. Maybe it's time to outsource?

Not yet. This guy started a Civil War in Will of the Senate and I'm almost positive he's up to something in King of the Romans, so it might be a good idea to keep the apparatus around a bit longer.

.Org rendition flights to secret prisons in the Backroom . Let's see if our Polish friends wouldn't mind a few more "guests".

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

I have no interests in a coup here, that just wouldn't be fun, it'd overload my already busy schedule.
