The bottle looks exactly like what we used to call GI Gin. It had 45% alcohol and 6% codeine….the recommended dose of cough syrup was usually enough to put you out…

Even I know purple drank is a cheap mixed drink. Made of cheap wine and whatever else can be bought with the remaining $3.47 that is left over. I must remind you that due to the exchange rate, one could get some wonderful cognac for that price.
