Played a little with the demo today, seems more fun than I had expected, the game seems to occupy the middle ground between Relic's tactical focus and Supreme Commander's strategic focus to give a much more old school experience. I thought it was pretty impressive visually too. Still, the old C&C style gameplay (lots of focus on base building, limited resources) will probably get tiring soon, but at least they brought back FMV ! (and are promising aliens !)

That's exactly what I thought too.
Ah, those videos, the presentation C&C-style. I think I'm gonna have fun when it comes out. If ya don't watch out, though, you're in for some chop. In skirmish the AI can own you bad
To everybody who wants to try out Nod, google for it. There's a handy little trick they hid in the demo. Good demo if it even has that in it, to give us some extra taste.

The Brutal Balanced mode is great. GDI vs. GDI is the hardest.

Didn't like Tiberian Sun, was to glib and same-old same-old. C&C3 looks to be the same with improved graphics.
Now the originals with 2D graphics, ahhhh! Those were games.
Yuck! I will not be getting C&C3 then! BFME is the worst game I have ever played. So many bugs it resembles a hollow log.Originally Posted by lars573

Well, I tried the demo and it was quite...bad after having played Supreme Commander.
Somehow that old gameplay with limited ressources, weird units, IMO bad animations etc doesn't cut it anymore. And that small skirmish map didn't really help. The whole thing just feels like playing in a sandbox on low difficulty and on medium it starts being stressful and no fun anymore.
Well, it's fast gameplay and I'm a slow person, so maybe it's just the combination.![]()

You've got to be kidding! BFME and BFME2 have almost no bugs. CnC 3 is a lot like BFME2 but with a different infantry/vehicle size ratio.Originally Posted by Rythmic

Just curious, do any of you have C&C: The First Decade? If so, how has your
experience of game performance and bugs been? [Assuming you use XP.]
