    Apparently our new UK biometric passports (which have to last 10 years) are only under warranty for 2 years.

    So expect more immigration hell as they all start failing.

    What BDC is saying is that the warranty will cover (with no strings attached I presume) the new passports for only 2 of their 10 year lifespan, leaving either the passport holder or the government dangling with their butts in the air uncovered for the last 8 years.
