Default Engineering? - an unconventional mod

    Madagascar

In Antananarivo, the capital of the island of Madagascar, news spreads slowly. Most people would expect the ground-breaking work for genetic engineering to take place elsewhere. Unknown to the Americans or any other world power, a little known professor, who studied genetics at Cambridge, has been working away in this place for many years.

After twenty four years of hard work, he succeeded in genetically removing a gene for Huntingdon's chorea. A few years later, he managed to disable and enable the effects of sickle cell anaemia in children. His notes were, it seems, very extensive, covering not only genetic diseases, but also characteristics such as height, strength, coordination, fertility and anger.

At the age of fifty-seven, he disappeared. Noone knew what had happened. The locals reported that they had seen local thugs break into his house and come out with several things. The locals, seeing the thugs carrying AK-47s, did not dare to stop them. Two years after that, ties were 'discovered' between Chinese agents and the local gangs, whose extent, it seemed, had grown larger.

Substantial money, it appeared, was financing the local gangs and turning them into a more determined revolutionary army. After a former Chinese officer was caught training men with firearms, the Chinese embassy was expelled from Madagascar. The Americans sent a task force to assist in removing the rebels. The British similarly expanded their presence in the area. Samples of traces of DNA code from unusually strong or resilient rebel soldiers were sent back to Harvard and Cambridge. At first, little progress was made. Twelve years later, the SAS managed to recover some sections of the professor's work. It turned out that the Madagascan government had already known about these, and was refining methods to produce a stronger generation of men to stamp out the rebellion.

It turned out that no country or faction had all the professor's work. Each task force was required by its government to claim certain areas and complete a search for the information, interests collided, and the following alliances emerged:

    The Revolutionary Army - TRA
    The People's Republic of China
    Arabic Militia Army - AMA

    The People's Militia
The United States of America - USA

    Madagascan government

will be filled in later, and not going to be released for *ages*

Essentially, a lesson on genetic engineering got me thinking and wanting to make a super-army ;)

    Factions:

    Outside, first world:

    USA
    Britain
    China

    Outside, African:

    ICU
    South Africa + Zimbabwe

    Native, African:

    Pro-American Government
    Revolutionary Front
    Warlords
Mixed Militia (non-playable, or at least *very* difficult to play as).

You must be nuts. How are you going to have these kinds of AK-47 wielding units, all these factions and their cities? How would you mod that?
    It's impossible

    LOL, pretty unusual, but:

This sounds like a Battlefield 2 mod....

1)You woulds have to mod the entire units formations, ai and combat systems.
As we have enough trouble with the existing ones, good luck with that.

    2) Stronger men do not mean a stronger army. Tactics, training & weapons win the day, not muscles. Especially against guns.

Fair duce to you for throwing the idea out there, but i suggest you chose a more suitable game engine- BF2, FarCry, Quake, Unreal...
Or modify the idea a bit...but no writer wants to do that! :)

    Cheers,
