    Default Splinter Cell: Double Agent

    There was a time that I hated this series, because I wasn't used to the style of play. But oh boy, when I was at a buddy's place about a year ago, playing Chaos Theory on the XBOX.... HAH, I was sold! Having played through it on the PC a couple of times back then, I don't regret it.

    But anybody here's got Double Agent? I've seen people saying that it was going to suck big time before it was even released (mostly fanboys and such hanging around on forums). Some were also complaining about the fact that the game could only be played with SM 3.0, and not anything lower, forcing them to buy a new video card. Even more: you MUST have a certain minimum processor to be able to run it.

    When I think about it, it sounds like a nasty choice of the publishers (and developers?) to force fans to upgrade for one game they really want to play.

    I probably can't even run the game, let alone the demo due to my CPU (but I'm stubborn enough to try anyway :P). When I've upgraded in some time I'll check it out, but for now I'll have to do with descriptions of your personal experience with it

    I want to know if this game's all it's cracked up to be, 'cause I doubt it.

    I have the 360 version. No way I'd ever use a key/mouse for this type of game. It plays like Chaos Theory. But now you have the new wrinkle of trust. And half the missions (on the 360 version) are sneaking around the JBA's base gathering intel and such. Which is most challenging cause if the JBA or NSA trust get to zero, game over.

    I have it on the PS2 and it's bloody awesome. Also, the PS2 and Xbox versions have more story bits in them than the 360, which makes uo for the smaller levels.

    Maybe I should just get myself a new-gen console or something, a 360 or PS3, to avoid constant monthly/yearly PC upgrades. Or of course I could steal a friend's PS2


    But I tried the demo, and it sucked, hah hah. Performance aside, it was so easy to get killed. It was the outside snow level, and I haven't really seen much of indoor levels in movies and such. Hmm, I'm now considering getting myself a 360.

    Got it on the Wii recently. It works surprisingly well with the remote system. Not a bad game all around, either.

    The current gen versions are different from the next gen versions. I have played the current gen, and I am of the opinion that the level design is worse than that in Chaos Theory. However, a lot of the little gameplay tweaks that were made made things much more of a smooth playing experience.

    How are the controls/moves on the Wii exactly with this game? Do remote controls "realistically depict" on-screen moves?
