Default Word of the Day: Pyrrhic Victory

    http://dictionary.reference.com/wordoftheday/.

It is funny. I noticed this on dictionary.com. The word of the day is Pyrrhic Victory. I only thought it was fitting to post here, because let us all acknowledge Pyrrhus today. * A moment of silence*, ok its over. Now the romans can conquer the world unopposed.

but the problem of linking the word of the day as actually the word of the day (instead of to its normal link) is that the day eventually changes and thus so does the link and the word.

still it was a nice catch!

    Uuuh.

    Today, it's "slaver".

An intransitive verb used to describe the vikings berserkers before battle?

When a fox kills your chickens, do you kill the pigs for seeing what happened? No you go out and hunt the fox.

    Today's word -
beau ideal :A perfect or an idealized type or model

Their commentaries inspired generations of schoolboys to pen compositions in praise of the Spartan lad who flinched not as the fox gnawed his vitals, and shaped the American beau ideal of the "strong silent type."
    What a strange example:

I can imagine this in the upcoming '300'
"Damn that pesky Fox is gnawing my vitals again !!"

I don't believe you can actually delete your duplicate posts, but you can go and edit them so that they're blank.

LOL, I thought this would give some people a chuckle, because I certainly did. Now a show of hands, who found that it gave them a chuckle.
