    Default Buttering up your allies

    I've read several tips on keeping good relations with your allies and how you should give them some florin every few turns to keep them happy. My question is, how do you just "give" it to them? Do you always have to demand something in return?

    All the offers I try to give them they deny because they say it's too generous.

    There's a little button to the left of the 'make offer' one in diplomacy - click that to offer something as a 'gift'
