Time for another update. This one is an Indo-Greek Noble Hoplite. It has not been created yet - we still would like to ask for talented skinners and modellers who are interested in helping us create all these new and gorgeous units to contact us. You can see more of these in post #1 in this thread. Great work again Caratacos!

This picture answers one thing about the Bactrians: why the are so powerful and conquer everything in the path. They are clearly dark jedi.

What's the sea horse thing on his shield? Were there coins found in Bactria with this figure on it? Or something else? I'm just curious.

Post 2 is updated above so that it will contain the fan versions of the released Caratacos signature banners. Here is also (this is not one big image, but a lot of little ones):

He's been really busy with other things lately, so we haven't had new unit development art, but I think he's close to being able to do some more of them now.

Yup, it'd be great to see some Makedonian work and Ptolemaic ones! Maybe a Hetairos for Makedonia and an Argyraspidai for Seleukeia. That would be -cool-.

Alright ladies, time to turn the calendar to May for the next month on the "Men of EB" commemorative wall calendar. ( Sorry Caratacos - couldn't resist! ) Here is the new Celtiberian Heavy Infantry unit concept art from none other than Mr. C. himself:

    or merge them with KH...

Nah, he just hasn't had any new units to design yet for Ptolemies, Epeiros, Maks, or Seleukids. So that's the only reason we don't have any for those. We wouldn't have had one for Romans or KH either if he hadn't been wanting to do some sketches of a legionaire and a spartan.

We did have a few new greek units, but spirit of rob is so used to working on the factions that he has churned out the units before Nate had gotten requests to do pieces depicting those units. Nate's also working on some things that we will keep secret for now, but that is why we don't have a stream of new art for the public boards lately like it was before.

Thought I saw one of those chainmail veil guys he'd done for seleukids?

That was discoskull. He did four pieces for us and then sort of vanished. But his work did catch the eye of caratacos, who contacted us about doing more after he had seen the work of discoskull. I'm the one who puts together the sig banners mostly, and I want to keep them consistent, so I'm only using caratacos' art for these new units ones.

Got it, I see that there were some shading changes and the title was a little off. The proper one is now in place here.

Thanks. Well it all depends on the detail of the unit (these amoured horses take much longer than a half naked celt, for instance. Painting is the longest part and can take up to 6 hours or so. The sketches take anywhere from 20-60 minutes.

Yeah. I find i can draw naked horses much easier (), adorning them in stuff becomes tricky as you have to think about perspective and anatomy more. I shal persevere

Thats good man, but I can garantee that it will start taking u less time as you keep painting.

I gotta say, I am inspired now the only thing that sucks for me its that I can't do a horse (yet)

But where can I see the full ROMANI in ur sig????

The Spartan and the Roman I did especially for the sigs (as people were demanding them-- myself included). So they aren't full units (and both already in game).

Very nice! I love how backgrounds are being integrated into the recent pieces, adds to the general atmosphere of the artwork.. Marked improvement in anatomy as compared to the first cavalry piece too. I'm willing to bet that art of this quality and calibre is saleable, if Caratacos is so inclined.
