    Default Roman AAR in EU2

Since my EB AAR is on hiatus until 8.1 is released, I thought some of you might enjoy another Punic War era AAR I am doing, using a Roman-era mod for Europa Universalis II.

    You can see it here:

I'm tying to remember...you said Baal was the son of Dagan? right?

Oops! just read what I saw over, it's Dagon...hehe...ok...

Different guys. My mistake, but their names are very alike.

You think the phoenicians heard of Dagon and changed it when they went to settle in Africa? The source was the Bible, the death of samson.

the "philistines" from the bible were phoenicians. very similar pantheon, although later poeni culture had many greek influences as well.

The Philistines and the Phoenicians are both mentioned in the Bible. It is summed up as Philistines=Bad, Phoenicians=Good (trade partners). All three (including jews) were Semitic.
