Hey all
I recently read an article which mentioned a member of the US military who recently ascended to the [head of armed forces/middle east section head/something].
This man had written a book on counter-terrorism/urban guerilla warfare, where he gave a figure for the number of troops needed per civilian to properly control a conflict zone along the lines of Iraq.
The article then went on to mention how mad it was to add more troops to iraq when under that stat there weren't enough to cover bagdahd, but that's irrelevant. I don't want this to get political.
Does anyone remember the man/the number? I know this is very vague, but if i had more details i could do this myself
I just can't seem to find it without the man's name![]()
Help would be appreciated![]()
Thanks
And please, no politics!
