You know what? I just realized I hadn't heard anything abou the patch 2, fixing the bishop bug. currently, you can pop a priest at a cathedrial, and they're automatically a bishop... but not at the huge cathedral. any word on that?

This is a totally minor issue that we can fix with modding by changing an = to >= in the traits file. So, it doesn't really matter if it's in or not, as a lite mod made for 1.2 would easily fix it if it doesn't make it. I'm not trying to belittle your wish list, just inform you of the relative importance of having various things in the patch. In general I won't really care if they don't get to a single thing that's wrong in the txt or xml files, as the modding community has so far been great at modding away all the problems, and will easily continue to do so. What I do care is that they resolve the issues with the actual game code since none of us can actually do that already. They seem to be focusing on those code issues naturally, which will give us the ability to assemble a near perfect product, something which might not happen if they allowed themselves to get sidetracked by every small fix that could be done. So, I say let them focus on important things, and if small ones happen to fall through the cracks, it's certainly better than if the big ones fall through and small ones get in the patch.Originally Posted by Nazrack
While it is important to fix minor stuff like this, it's not a priority. I would really like all that stuff to be fixed, because a lot of people don't know about/can't get mods. For me, it doesn't matter as I can fix it myself.
Another thing, is that it makes the game look bad. This sort of stuff takes very little effort to do, and for a new player, it won't look good... But it's a priority for the very last patch, not the second one.
Still maintain that crying on the pitch should warrant a 3 match ban
