M2TW Charges

How do I get my cavalry to charge in M2TW, when I double click, my unit yells "Charge!", but they all draw swords instead of lances, is this supposed to happen?

Not having M2TW yet (curse you old comp!) I can't offer any solid advice but you can find plenty of threads about it in the Citadel.

To answer your question, there are many factors that go into charging.

1. make sure that the unit is formed up (in neat lines)

2. the flatter the ground, the better

3. single right click to charge (then hit 'r' to make them run if you want)

4. Pause the game, and order your units one by one, or they'll attempt some sort of 'smart attack' that never works. This applies to all units that are grouped - if you want them to work properly, order them one by one
