Default Range Check Error (readbif 23b)

I'm having problems getting weapons onto a couple of my files. I drew the guys, drew the weapons, have the weapons in all of the frames in all the same spots, but when I go to save the .bif I get a "range check error" and it just wont save! How do I fix this?

Try with 23c it is more up-to-date. Second is your bmp's palette 256 at 8-bits?

"range check error" is related to vb runtimes not being up to date IIRC. It can also occur when a vb program that was written for an older version of the runtime under Win9x is run under Win2k/XP. The newer version Rythmic linked to should fix it.
