alright luigi, if you want to turn this into an actual discussion i will oblige.

oh wait, srry luigi i don't understand, are you defending them, or mocking them or just quoting them, i'm honestly not sure.

first off, how can you accept this as a reasonable answer, there just dodging the question.
Q: Follow-up to previous question: How is it that the Earth does not have a gravitational pull, but stars and the moon do?

A: This argument is a non sequitur. You might as well ask, "How is it that snakes do not have legs, but dogs and cats do?" Snakes are not dogs or cats. The Earth is not a star or the moon. It doesn't follow that each must have exactly the properties of the others, and no more.
how do you explain the basic laws of physics in this feild described?
where does the gravity for the FE earths ascent originate from.
how long ago was this conspiracy came up with?
    explain meteors.
why isn't the edge of the ice ring in perpetual darkness?
how come third world countries can keep up the conspiracy but not feed there people.
how can we make money on the ice wall?
why do the inuits not know about this?
    explain the dinosaurs.
when did the FE earth originate?
does god have a part in this?
any of you seen any evidence not just conceptual?
what physics involved could shape all the bodies of the world into disks and face them all directly at earth so we could not see there edges?
    who paid off columbus?
why is'nt all areas around the ice wall extremely cold?
how do buirds such as arctic terns navigate, by the government altered GPS?

i've got more questions but lets see you handle these.

People believe a magical being created the Earth in 6 days, why is it so hard to believe some think the Earth is flat? Are you really that surprised?

I can't buy into either and I'm a Christian (more or less)

I liked the Sunday school bit...
And the controversy vs. proven geography

My good question linked to Kansas and satellite radio...

If the world was flat, then why can I get reception by the tower, but not 500 miles away?
Why do radio towers need to reflect radio waves against the ionosphere so that everyone can receive the signal (if they can at all)?
If satellite radio involves satellites, then why isn't all radio carried by satellites (or really tall towers) since it can reach everyone, and get more money from advertisements?

Why can you see the sails/masts of ships before the actual ship crosses the horizon?
How come the shadow on the moon is circular and not disk shaped, or a thin slice of blackness?
So what about the 2 astronauts killed in the accident on the pad (Apollo 4 or something), why did they die if there was no space program?
How about the Paris Gun? In World War 1, the Germans built a massive gun to fire shells into Paris. However, the first few shells were off, because when they were fired, the Earth rotated and when the shells came back down, they struck a few meters or so in the wrong spot.

Why can't I see Los Angeles from New York with a telescope?
Why doesn't the rim of the world experience climactic conditions similar to Siberia, or the Baltic. I don't see Polar bears in Australia, do you?

Why is the North Star always in the north?
Where does Earth's magnetic field come from?
If the world see-saws, then why doesn't a ball on a flat court roll from one end to the other? Surely, it the tides can be caused by a see-saw effect, a rubber ball full of air will be able to move!?

All, I assume, will be refuted by the mumbo-jumbo and 'government conspiracy' deal you guys have.

I ask because it's usually something like that which causes outbursts like this, needless to say I dissagree completely.

The answer is simple my friend. There's empirical proof that the Earth is flat, however you can't proove a negative.

Let's not strike gratuitous blows unto God whenever we can, shall we people.

Also God is not "magical", at least not for Christianity, but there's already a thread on that.

I wasn't taking a cheap shot on god, Soulforged. I did not mention Christianity or god at all in my post.

God, as an object of reality or religious fiction is not solely from Christianity, I only used the word so I didn't have to mention every other religion wich is monoteist and believes in the same God. Sorry for the mistake.

In any case, I'm still curious as to why you used the adjective "magical" to describe "God"?

I just hope they all fall from the edges of our planet into the abyss that lies beyond. Of course the ice walls would have to melt first.

But I'm just so angry, I'll go to the intendency administration right now and file a complain so that my national government orders the Earth to be flat.

An all knowing, all seeing, and an all creating being who defies the laws of nature. Sounds magical to me.

He sure is! All of you round-earthers are. Gah!

Alright, I'll answer your questions, MotP!

how do you explain the basic laws of physics in this feild described?
What basic laws of physics? You mean those so-called 'reality-based' ones that change their 'paradigm' every few decades? Each time claiming that 'this time we've got it right!' ?

how long ago was this conspiracy came up with?
What conspiracy? The truth it is.

    explain meteors.
Huh? Objects can't fall on a flat surface?

how come third world countries can keep up the conspiracy but not feed there people.
How come Venezuala is one big oil-field yet they can't feed their people? I dunno man, you tell me why they can't get their act together.

    explain the dinosaurs.
Simple. Created like all living things.

when did the FE earth originate?
Six thousand years ago. The evidence can be gathered through geology.

does god have a part in this?
Everything ultimately derives from Him. If you do not belive this, then tell me: what do you find more convincing: creation, or, something appearing out of nothing.
To which I would like to add, that according to your beloved physics 'facts' no matter or energy can be created or lost. So where would all energy and matter come from then hey? There must be a first mover.

    who paid off columbus?
Huh? Say what? You mean to tell me that you actually believe Columbus sailed around the globe and ended up in India?
That there are Europeans living in the America's proves the earth is flat, doesn't it?

i've got more questions but lets see you handle these.
Bring 'em on! I've been to sunday school and have been trained to handle sceptics like you.
