No - Louis is serious, I flew him into Dallas Texas and took him up to the panhandle to view the flat earth for himself. He has been converted, he is now a true believer of the flat earth having seen it with his own eyes.
O well, seems like 'some' people decide to ruin a perfectly valid threat. Nice going guys... doc bean

Oh, by the way, we really do need a real flat earther around here. It's rather sad in a way that even Louis has to impersonate one for us orgahs to enjoy the audience with a flat earther.

or we can raid that site...nah

    The Paris Gun
This has long been debunked. There never was a 'Paris Gun'. The French alway surrender immediately, so there never were was no prolonged bombardment of Paris by some ubergun shooting 210lbs shells. This was a myth the French made up as an excuse for their surrender.

Your logic states that very time something falls, it's going to land in Texas!
Sooner or later, everything lands in Texas. It's the gravitational centre of the earth.

Considering that a shell from a Paris gun is 210lb's and a leaf is nearly nil is weight.
Then there is also the height of the tree, so if the tree is nearly 50 MILES tall, and the leaf weighed 210lbs, then your argument would make sense.
Since there is no such tree in the world, and the tallest is only 100 meters, your argument falls flat.
    (Coriolis Effect)

A shell and a leaf fall at exactly the same speed in a vacuum so your whole argument fails. It's aerodynamics we must look at here.

You never mentioned radio waves bouncing off the ionosphere. If the reasons for radio was to provide 'local' service, then why would anyone have to bounce radio waves off the ionosphere?
What ionosphere? Waves bounce off of clouds. That's why the weather has such a profound effect on radio transmissions.

If there is iron underground, and it attracts the magnetic pin on a compass, magnetic north and all.
1.Why has no one mined it, since it would provide money (big thing you guys have with that)

It's cold in the upper quadrants ('Northpole' to you). It's cheaper to mine in Sweden.

2.Why has it changed year after year? Has there been some new iron found? Hmmm?
No new iron was found, but lots of it gets mined in Sweden. So when you point your compass somewhere in the direction of Sweden it will slowly vary in direction over time.

Explain Foucault Pendulum, in your terms.
I can explain Foucault to you, but not his pendulum, only his post-modern stuff.
Which states that there is no reality, only different perceptions of it. We must look for the most relevant narrative, and not assume one single truth stands above the others. Which is what some people do when they refuse to treat my arguments for a flat earth with the dignity it deserves.

Because of this legendary mafia game in the gameroom. I'll change my name back to Louis in about a month or so. There's a sixty day period you have to wait between changes.

I think we should raid the site, pillage the threads, loot the admins, commit forced sexual acts on several posts, and then sail away into the nothing-ness, after burning the place to the ground.

    I liked the idea anyway.

Not necessarily a joke, but more an exercise in showing that anything can be argued when the premise is false; that is the idea behind the site by the looks of things, but there do seem to be some people who take (either side of) the debate far too seriously.

They'll be claiming that this flat earth of there's is ruled over by an invisible and all powerful god next! Clearly mad.

Of course somewhere high in the mountains of the ice wall there is a green summit, and on that summit is the legendary garden of eden from whence man came in the beginning. In that garden is a tree, and on that tree hang the apples of eternal life. This is what the world powers are hiding from us.

You should know that there is no water on other planets.
Also the name planet comes from plane as in level ground.

Or from Greek where it means 'wanderer'. Even Aristotle convinced little children that the earth was round, by introducing the sailing ship on the sea evidence. The ship itself disappears before the mast of the ship, hence the earth is round (curved) as opposed to flat.

Nah, it's more funny that someone would make themselves the target of it all.

    Cheers to the Org.

I think the real problem is in letting Fatlington claim all sorts of improbable things that we can't necessarily, or easily, contradict outright.

It is enligtening to bring out all sorts of assumptions that people have, w/o thinking they are assumptions though, and using yes or no responses to interpret things to fit a certain view of how things are.

Not everyone in Fatlington does it. I suspect Luigi may have picked it up from Sasaki during his stay in Fatlington.

God, as an object of reality or religious fiction is not solely from Christianity, I only used the word so I didn't have to mention every other religion wich is monoteist and believes in the same God. Sorry for the mistake.

In any case, I'm still curious as to why you used the adjective "magical" to describe "God"?

I just hope they all fall from the edges of our planet into the abyss that lies beyond. Of course the ice walls would have to melt first.

But I'm just so angry, I'll go to the intendency administration right now and file a complain so that my national government orders the Earth to be flat.

Maybe God is the ultimate geek with some really incredible hardware.

Alas, we wander off topic. We were talking about Flatus Earthus and how science and technology based on the (grossly wrong) premise of a spherical Earth seems to miraculously work surprisingly well in a world that is flat.

The earth is flat. If the earth was a sphere then when you spit the spit would go sideways, because the earth is spinning. As it is now, its going straight down.
