    Question blocking enemies' land trade

rebels can block land trade when they stand on the way on the way of land trade of other factions.

Can I do the same thing to my enemy factions
And therefore I have sailed the seas and come to the holy city of Byzantium

It seems the answer is yes... traffic on the roads reflects trade. It goes down next turn after I put a force on an enemy road. But I don't know if it's doing much to their actual income.

It did seem to work some when I tried it against Denmark once... I blockaded all their ports and stepped on their major roads... they weren't repairing anything in short order.

small side note, you can actually block a port by land too with troops if you need too.

Yep. Just place them ontop of the port/on the road between the city and port to do it.
