Okay, this might be better off in a modding forum, but i thought here would be a good starting place. I recently tried out Gothic 3 for the PC. It, imo, is alright. Could be better, the patch fixed most of the bugs, blah blah blah.
Anyway, my problem is that to enter cheat codes, after some data changing is performed, you have to press the ~(tilde) key like in the TW games. Then you enter the cheat.
But, using my laptop, the buttons on the far right are stuck in number lock form. everytime i press u in the game, a 4 comes up instead. to activate the num. lock, you press the fn key and then scroll, which is the lock. Unfortunately, i cannot get it out of that mode. i cant type in the letters i need to use the codes.
Is there any way to completely disable the number lock or turn it off during the game? It will be off before i turn the game on yet when it is on, it will automatically turn on and wont let me turn it off.
My laptop is a new Gateway, if that's any help.
Also, i heard that sometimes, the game reacts as if your using a german keyboard (for example, it will type ? instead of ~.) That might be the cause of the problem, but i cant figure out how to turn it off. Any help would be great. sorry for the length of this post. im tired and annoyed and burning up yet too lazy to turn the fan on. okay fine, ill do that now. *sighs*
