    Default Map problems...again

hi. Again I am making a map, and again I have map problems. I have uploaded it to megaupload, and would like someone to help me. IT wil be going into a mod folder as the main campaign when it is complete, does that make any difference?

If anyone can help, please do so, it would mean a lot to me.

Sorry, I forgot to do something in descr_strat, and I just realized it. So I will post again to see if it works.

your map sizes are totally wrong - check the list of sizes from Myddrraal's tutorial:
Remember the dimensions of the files:
    disasters.tga - The same size as map_regions.tga
map_climates.tga - Twice the size of map_regions.tga + one pixel
    map_features.tga - The same size as map_regions.tga
map_ground_types.tga - Twice the size of map_regions.tga + one pixel
map_heights.tga - Twice the size as map_regions.tga + one pixel
    map_roughness - Twice the size as map_regions.tga.
    map_trade_routes.tga - The same size as map_regions.tga
(ignore what it says about making radar maps size of regions - that would probably crash for your size map)

The critical ones are map_heights, map_regions and the size listed in descr_terrain.txt must tie up - others just give message on exit.

Your map regions is too large and map heights has an even number of pixels in one dimension - which it can't as it has to be regions x2 +1. The size listed in descr_terrain.txt has to be same size as map_regions eg smaller than you have currently.

Finally it might not matter but I did notice you have all factions included in descr_strat even though they are not on map - I think you should delete from the unplayable listing any that are not given army or city in strat file.

lol, thank you, I will fix it and see how it works.

Is that 1 pixel for both height and width? meaning you take off constrain proportions?

    nah, it still didn't work.

The link is there now, in the downloads section. Feel free to look around the site and give feedback.

My ui problem stuff is in there as well.

It is both height and width so yes take off constrain proportions.

Ahh checked download you appear to have sizes right now but you used the wrong method of re-sizing - you now have 3000 odd colours in map_regions and blurred coastline in map_heights!

If you're using photoshop use 'nearest neighbour' to resize
If you're using paintShopPro use 'pixel resize'

EDIT: the UI's look really nice hope you get them working, I can view alpha in battlepage but you do seem to have lost it from the stratpage - I still suspect something to do with save type
