Still possible to build Epic Walls?

Hi, don't know if this a real issue or not, but the entry for epic walls still exist, at least in my edb. If I remember correctly, their removal was one of the changes listed in the patch change list. I haven't actually seen them in the game though, so there maybe something that was included to prevent them from being built that I'm not aware of.

I believe the epic walls now require the hidden_resource "not_here". "not_here" doesn't exsist in any province, so they cannot be built...

Where would that resource be located, in the edb entry for the walls itself? Because no such entry exists, at least in my install.

Also, it isn't realistic at all. No city, however grand, had walls like the ones depicted by "Epic Walls". I'm guessing...... or I heard a while ago when there was discussion about the matter....

It should say something like:
"epic_wall requires factions { blah, blah, } and hidden_resource et cetera and hidden_resource not_here"
in the EDB.

Hmm, that is strange. What are your values for something easy to check, like the mine resources to see of my install didn't somehow skip over that file? Mine are 15 and 30 for the large and small mines respectively.

Edit: If someone has their edb, could they attach it so I can see if mine syncs up? I might have had a bad install of that one file, if that is possible. My game does work fine, but something doesn't seem right here. Also, my dates for last changes on the files are all the same, 12/6 for .8 changes files, and then 2/18 for .81 changes. My edb says it was last altered 12/9, probably when I adjusted mine income. That must have screwed me up, but I think with a new edb from .81 I'll be set.

Sorry for the double post, but I downloaded the edb from the first cohort mod, and my file was different in the mines and walls, so I think I found my problem. So could any kind soul share their edb with me?

If you have a corrupt EDB, you may have other errors. You might want to just reinstall everything...

I don't think it is corrupted, I believe I just accidentally replaced it with old copy form my desk top accidently. Everything else looks fine, and I've had no ctd the last week.

Well I for one haven't installed any third party mods. I just patched 0.8 with the 0.81 update, and my EDB doesn't have the epic walls disabled. It doesn't list any hidden resources for their building requirements at all.

That's quite odd Conqueror. Are you sure it patched it otherwise? Are you seeing 0.81 or 0.80 on the main menu? If EDB is missing a key element like that, I'd seriously think about doing a fresh install of the full 0.81 installer. Very strange indeed.
