Hi Keeper,
It's probably not a bug, what you are experiencing is probably the re-enforcements controlled by AI feature of vanilla. If an army is lead by a family member and the army is re-enforcements then the computer automatically leads them unless you de-check the "Re-enforcements Under AI Control" box on the prebattle screen. Hope this helps, cheers!

It's worth pointing out that under the 1.5 exe, this control is slightly bugged. You have to check/uncheck the box several times to be sure that you will get the drip-fed reinforcements rather than them being under AI control. In particular, it has been reported that if you view the compsition of one of the armies before the battle, then you will end up with AI controlled reinforcements, regardless of what you previously selected. So remember, immediately before you press to start the battle, check and uncheck that box 2 or 3 times and leave it clear.
no is ok![]()
i got to kill some Seleukid and Saka
Which is because the engine automatically set this option to 'selected' when you (re)turn to the "prepare for battle" scroll.Originally Posted by Barbarossa82

Exactly. But the problem is that it doesn't always put the tick mark back in the box, so the user doesn't know it has defaulted back to AI control. There have also been a number of reports of the game ignoring the first clearance of the box, so it has to be cleared, re-ticked and then re-cleared to take effect; although I don't remember ever having personally experienced that bug.Originally Posted by Tellos Athenaios
