    Default Ptolemaioi map colour

    Just a humble question:

Does the EB team have any control over the colours displayed on the strategy map? Reason I'm asking is that the pale yellow and light grey do not contrast well and I personally am having a squint of a time trying to see how the ebbs and flows of the Ptolemaioi - Arche Seleukeia war are going. If at all possible, a more yellow colour for Ptolies would be nice, perhaps accompanied by a darker grey for Arche Seleukeia.

You can change it, though I'm not sure how. And I'd second the color change, if at least for the seleukids.

I personally like the map colors, but my gripe is with the stack flag colors for Arche. You can't tell, at all, how full the stack is by looking at it. There has to be a change with regards to this I imagine.

In the EB data file, go into the descr_sm_factions file. The primary_colour and the secondary_colour lines for each faction control it's color on the campain map. ROMANS_JULII for the seleucids, NUMIDIA for the Ptolemaics. Just be sure to keep the red green blue numbers the same for both lines, or you'll end up with the provience boarder being 1 color, and the inside of the provience a different one.
I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.

Is he hurt? Everybody asks that. Nobody ever says, 'What a mess! I hope the doctor is not emotionally harmed by having to deal with it.'

Excellent. I'll give it a try. Thing is that the colours look different on different monitors. While they are fine for some they kind of mesh together on others.

I have the same problem with the Seleukid/Ptolemaic colours blending a bit too well. Easy solution would be to add just a bit more blue to the Seleukid colour (BOTH primary and secondary, otherwise you'll get those nasty vanilla-esque province borders - unless that's what you want, of course...), which should have the adverse effect of making the army banners easier to distinguish.

I don't mind the Ptlolemai-Seleukia borders, but I do have difficultly with the army level thing. (Though I saw one mod once, somewhere, that removed the strat banners completely, saying it was cheating knowing the size of the army comming for you, OT though.)

One thing I've seen, that is intensly rare, but in 130ish it just happened. Rome-Saka Rauka bordering eachother. They are very similar in color and much harder to tell the borders than Ptl-Slk.

Yep, the army level thing is weird. Any way to change that like the border thing?

Oh and if you want to remove the banners Marcus, just press J on the camp map. I've tried playing like this, for the same reason you mentioned someone else said, but it doesn't really make sense ultimately, because you can just click on the army and see how many units it has anyway.
