I just acquired the Total War War Chest today my computer games shop. Could one of you kind souls help me with the above problem for when I go for this option it keeps crashing to the desktop!!!

Is there a patch that will stop it from doing this? I don't want to go into this game totally blind!!! Yet, I could, if it plays anything like Medieval II.
