I was just offered a "Becoming a vassal" type of agreement with the polish Aholes that broke my alliances TWICE and attacked me TWICE. I got a ceasefire agreement and they attack me AGAIN.

So, What does Becomming a Vassal do and just, what is it in general, I put my game on hold until I get an answer.

I dunno exactly but it can't be good. I would tell them where to go personally. No way I'd be someone else's vassal...

If you become someone's vassal, you are in theory an extension of their lands. Your territories count for their victory conditions and once your treasury goes above 15k, you pay the extra as tribute to your lord. Vassalage however isn't that permanent seeing as how you can break off the vassalage at any time just by attacking them. Generally, never become a vassal unless the country is incredibly superior to you or you dont want to bother fighting them right now

    Or....

Take their offer, but demand a LARGE amount of money. Then, attack them, thus ending the vasselage. Voila, you've just stolen a lot of money from those arrogant sons of...

The problem is if you attack your lord, your rep will take a huge drop significantly reducing your chances of getting any other treaties that you have to last.
