I thought there was a big arguement a while back that concluded that there shouldn't be Pezhetairoi in Baktria, but they are there...on that map at least.Originally Posted by Arkatreides
so you say that the ptolies can recruit Galatikoi Kleruchoi, in Macedonia, but not in Galatia? jus luck at the maps in Anatilia and Grece.Originally Posted by Tellos Athenaios

On a side note: there's this unit description of Galatikoi Klerouchoi in game, which provides much better information on them.

Well, if the names are not mixed up it would mean that Kleruchikoi Phalangitai can be recruited in Mauretania and Gaul. I can understand they would have been available in India when the Ptolemies and Seleucids would have conquered these regions, but why Mauretania and Gaul? Ptolies and AS can't even build Factional MIC 4 in these regions. Or are they available in native MICs, just as african elephants for the AS?
I think we should wait until Arkatreides returns to tell us whether the names are mixed up or not.

Hey I just noticed that your eastern Greeks are lacking Galatikoi Lavotuxri (Galatian Heavy Cavalry)...
Cheers...
Epeiros and (I think) Makedon can recruit Classical Hoplites in Demetrias. The cards indicate that only KH can recruit them.
Wonderful work btw.
Ravenfeeder, Macs and Epiroteans can build them in a native MIC, those icons indicate which factions can build them in a faction MIC.
They can only be recruited by Pontos in a factional MIC, for the other factions they are a regional unit, hence they will not get their own card for those factions.Originally Posted by mAIOR

Where are the Aljáz-Gae, the Golberi Curoas, the Enoci Curoas, the Curepos and the Cidainh (Celtic Chariots)? In my opinion they are missing within the Celtic units...
Best regards
Marcel
You are right about the Aljáz-Gae and the Cidainh, the latter missing because of the new version that is discussed in this thread https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=83039.Originally Posted by darkangel87
The other three are merc/regional only. They will be done, but not just yet.
Very nice, couple of mistakes though, Uachtarach duboGaiscaocha cant be recruited at the minute, they're in the edb but nobody can build the barracks level needed for them in the required provinces. Ordmhornaghta have 120 men listed on the card when it should be 60 by the settings you use, likewise pictones, should be 40 for them.
Just looked at my recruitment map and Aedui and Averni aren't able to recruit Kluddargos due to them not being able to build the required barracks, same for Remi Marpos. Casse cant recruit Brihentin anywhere for the same reasons, level 5 barracks requires government type 1 which in turn requires homeland resource which they cant build in the provinces the units are available in.

Casse can recruit Brihentin. At least, I could in my Casse campaign, with Cunctator's 1st cohort mod and Watchman's BI mod...

The number of men are indeed wrong.Originally Posted by Casuir
As for the other issue, while I appreciate that what you say is true, this information is very difficult to collect and present on the cards given the number of cards that need to be done (and are likely to change in the next release(s)). However, for the time being, the information on the cards, while perhaps misleading, is not actually wrong. A player can easily see what government can be built in a province, and once the recruitment maps are up, can crossreference this information with the map and thus immediately see whether a unit would be available or not.
If you somehow manage (cheat) to get a gov type 1 in one of those provinces, you will see the units in your factional MIC. Even better, if you capture a level 5 MIC and don't raze it (I don't consider this cheating), the units are there. So in a sense the cards are not wrong on this point.
Finally, they can be recruited for custom battles, if I am not mistaken.
True about the capturing mic's though I think in the Uachtarach's case nobody can build the required building. Think this is an oversight though as there wouldnt be much point in putting in the unit if nobody can recruit it. I've uploaded my map after doing a bit of tidying, its still messy and units arent sorted by reforms/mic levels. Know its not much use to you but someone might find it helpful. Units in the edb but unrecruitable due to government issues are in red. Kluddobro and Kluddolon are missing and galatia's not on the map, lugoae, botroas, gaeroas, iaosatae, leuce epos, sotaroas, calawre and kluddolon are recruitable there, think its the only other place casse can recruit in a faction mic

I had no Idea so many units were unrecruitable. Is there any way or any sub-mod to implement them? cause I'd love to play with the Goidilic shock infantry...
Cheers...
There is no 'easy' way to make them recruitable, but if you feel brave you can try editing the EDB (just make sure you make a copy first!).
Basically look for the unit you want, copy all those lines and paste them into the previous MIC (which is above it in the EDB). That way they will be recruitable for gov type 2.
I will mention this to the team, as it looks like a mistake.
Oh so it's easy. They're not recruitable cause you can't build the required barracks there :) ok thanks mate You'll make my Avernii campaign much more interesting :)
Cheers...
You must have captured the city with the required mic like Arkatreides pointed out was possible. Dont think you're supposed to be able to recruit them in 181bc though.
I shifted the reform dates forward. I didnt want to do my whole campaign with militia units, and never see the cool later elites. I have neither the time or the patience to 200+ year campaigns.
The only reason why I got this far with the casse is because AS is doing cool stuff in the east, and I was intrigued to see what happened. As it turns out I have some wierd family curse which means all my male children, hiers or adoptions die instantly. When my last 3 generals die (the youngest is 50) I guess I will lose...
I know what you mean, I'm tempted to move them up as well but I've only just got the first reforms, by the time I get to 140 or whatever it is a new version will be out.
Heres the aedui and averni versions of the map, some oddities on there that may or may not be unintentional like the province in thrace/macedonia with a lot of units to recruit but not in anyones catchment area, and a lone slinger in the baltic.

What are these maps you are working on Casuir? I'm curious.
Well I'm not actually working on them, originally I wanted a sort of playing guide for my casse campaign, had intended to put resources, units, wonders and ports on it and try and get it printed but the turns started taking too long and I put it to one side. I just tidied up what I had and added the few missing units, I've too much on my plate to be doing anything else with them.
One question guys, the naked fanatics, the haploi hoplites and other non armoured units have armour value of 5 , is this the helmet armour value?
"Alexander came by the statue of his father and spoke loud: `Youths of the Pellaians and of the Macedonians and of the Hellenic Amphictiony and of the Lakedaimonians and of the Corinthians... and of all the Hellenic peoples, join your fellow-soldiers and entrust yourselves to me, so that we can move against the barbarians and liberate ourselves from the Persian bondage, for AS Hellenes WE should not be slaves to barbarians."
And the shirts sometimes as well.
