Was cheating myself, I upgraded last night

Though I was dismayed to find that I couldn't load my kick a$$ savegame. Now I am unable to avenge the massacre of "Set's Army of the Fertile Crescent". Besieging Babylon, the garrison sallied forth, beat them, they brought up another family member and army, beat them, brought up another army, beat them, and finally brought up an army with yet another family member, and they defeated me. As our troops were retreating west, the Seleucids attacked and wiped them out. I had 11 hoplites (one of the heavier types, I forget which) vs an army of about 200. I managed to kill 39 of the enemy before I was wiped out. And no I couldn't retreat, as I already retreated from them, and they merely marched up and attacked again.

I'm a college student currently going for a Computer Networking degree, and as a requirement, we needed to take a programming class. It was C++, though the language is different, I won't criticize in any way for the length of time it takes to create patches and that. I know how much work is involved in writing even tiny programs, so I can't imagine what writing programs for a game can be like (though I'm sure it varies with the language). Words can't describe how much I hate programming, but strangely enough, I don't mind writing batch files.

You have tried to reduce video settings and/or unit size?

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.

I put on autodetect best settings. Then I removed shadows for units, put unitsize on medium (does this adjust saved games? I didnt notice much change)... and as I said. My comp is able to run pretty nice games and is surely more modern than Rome TW altough it is not top of the line anymore...

Yes, this certainly seems odd. The only records of ctds occuring in game for EB appeared when there was a problem with one of the animations - that was fixed ages ago. I can only suggest that you reinstall eb and see if that solves the problem. Your safest bet would be to uninstall RTW and begin from the beginning.
