Default In the dark ages of modding - abandoned mods

I wonder how many modding projects were simply abandoned because of lack of support, lack of interest or stopped by other things...

About 3 months before I joined the ORG I decided to create a mod based on popular tabletop Warhammer Battle game.

Because I am quite stubborn after 3 weeks of hard labour I had it in its first phase - i.e. as far as I could go without changes in graphics.

It was a hard challenge for someone with little or no modding experience, but in the end I finally had it - over 21 playable factions with 240-something unique units.
I am a fluff buff so I put some units of my own design (you will notice on the screens) which were in my opinion good enough to use.

So I had so many new features added - wizards, really dangerous Ratling Guns, slow, but tireless Undead, agile and invisible Wood Elves etc.

It never went any further - after playing at least 40 battles in MP ( I had to drag my computer over 2 kilometers to a friend - no internet access at home, but no pain no gain) it was scrapped when I decided to deal with Pike and Musket which had greater chance to be finished and had little copyright problems to deal with.

Anyway here are some screens from more memorable battles in Custom Battle mode.

The mod was a sort of addon to BKB's beta 1 superearly mod - about 3 years ago...

Victorious Empire army after defeating Khore and Tzeentch forces of larger size - a true miracle, still remember the joy of the victory.

Dwarf army ready for battle against 4 armies of Vampire Counts (separate bloodlines).

probably after the battle was finally resolved - damn hard it was !

another clash. Ironbreakers under Zombies' tide

another Dwarf fight - a lone Dragon Slayer stops huge Orc & Goblin force.

15 Dwarf slayers vs horde of Goblins trying to cross a bridge - I have given them only close combat units except two units of Wolf Riders and those killed my 3 orange haired lonatics

    High Elf army

Skaven Skryre clan force - the AI was trully 'skavenish' when I played against them - Grey Seer killed 2 units of Clanrats eliminating my Hammerers as well when I faced Skaven once.

    Strigoi army

    my beloved Wood Elves

Of course it looks very primitive - I guess I possessed about 1 % of my current modding abilities, but the mod was very enjoyable to play.

    Regards Cegorach
