If they create an x-pansion then it it should be based around the same period or 1600, as far I know the Middle Ages ended in 1543!!!![]()

Why 1700? Looking at the general timeframe of the scenarios mentioned in that German magazine we see:
- Cortez is early 1500s.
- Crusades is 1100s
- Teutonic Order & Lithuania is late 1300s
- Britain & Norway is late 900s
