Is the auto-resolve rebalanced in .81?

Hello. I'd just gotten past the hard part of a KH campaign (beaten the Macs) when I noticed that even though I thought I'd set the game on Very Hard campaign that auto-resolved battles (excepting those in which the enemy general had a massive amount of stars) actually weren't coming out strongly in the AIs favor. Has anyone else experienced this?

I tested a few new games, taking the greek fleet on the very first turn to attack the equal Macedonian fleet. 1 I won the battle, twice I lost it.

I can't figure out if I got the difficulty wrong. Looks like a new campaign for me.

Unfortunately Auto Resolve is hard coded, so no one can change anything.

I must have had the setting wrong then. New campaign for me.

I always thought it was odd that auto-resolve was connected to campaign difficulty rather than battle difficulty. Ah, well.
